50% of all women going through menopause is seriously affected

From an interesting article I read today:

Half of all women who have experienced the menopause said that it had a substantial effect of their lives and just over half of women over 35 consider themselves informed about the menopause, research has found. (The Irish Times)

This doesn't surprise me. Menopause DOES have a great impact on our lives, and I would even guess that the numbers were even higher than 50%.
